River City Xmas Party

The river City Guild Christmas Party was tonight.  A delightful time was had by all.  The Christmas Lotto blocks were sewn into 9 quilts and they were raffled off to 9 totally excited people, none of which was me, Ann or Charlene.  So sad, the quilt tops were wonderful, not just a pile of blocks but real tops!

And I did win the UFO drawing for $10.  At the beginning of the year, we list our current UFOs.  During the year as we finish them we show them off and they get tallied.  I finished 7 of mine.  The highest winner was Jo Paula who finished 26 of her UFOs.  Lucky girl to have them all off her floor!  I thought I was doing well to get 6 or 7 done.

here is a little view of the food at the party.

And in the gift exchange i got a clock.  I have no surfaces in my house so it will get recycled into some gift exchange.  Maybe for Carrie's White Elephant.  That ought to be fun!

And I bought a new pair of boots, black and flat.  Like the other ones I had to finally toss because they were worn out.  I loved those boots.  These promise to be as good.  Here they are, leather and lace!

  3. Those Christmas quilts on the wall are really nice! Why is there only deserts on the food table?

"These boots are made for walkin'. and that's just what I'm gonna do. Better watch out or these boots are gonna walk all over you"

Sorry, that song just took me over :-)
