Design Wall Monday

My iPad has a feature that has a microphone.  I can speak into the microphone and it types what I say.  I'm having fun playing with it.  I guess I don't speak like I write so my post sounds a bit stilted to me.  But it is fun and a lot less typing!

I took some pictures of the sky the other day. It was purple!  I've never seen a purple sky before.  But I can't find where my new camera sent them.  You will have to check back for those later in the week.

What I'm working on this week is my reflections quilt and the quilt for Maylee.  I have the reflections quilt on the design wall.  I'm letting it stew a bit.  I like the way it look but I want to make sure this is the way I want the blocks put together.  I'm still not sure that I like those white corners.  That they're on now.

I will work on Maylee quilt some tomorrow and see if I can get some more blocks together.  I still just have the one Block finished.  I cut up her cute onesies and backed them with light cotton to stabilize the stretch.  Now I am setting them into blocks which I will sash with two or three different bright fabrics.

Gotta go now, I am participating in a walking study to see how it affects your health and it is still pouring rain.

  1. my iphone has that feature too and I am getting used to playing with it. I haven't used it for blogging other than one time to practice but I love it for making my grocery shopping list! You have to speak very clearly though and it doesn't recognize all words it seems

  2. I have a love/hate relationship with the speak to text with the iphone and ipad but I do like it and you're right -- it saves a lot of typing.

  3. I've never used that iPhone/iPad feature. Maybe I should check it out ... do you suppose one could quilt and blog at the same time ;-)

  4. The walking study sounds interesting. I know that I always poo-pooed walking until last year after I had surgery. I know that I could not have gotten thru that trip to the west coast or the working weekend I just had without all the walking I had done starting in the fall.

  5. I'm glad to hear you are walking a lot - good for the body and soul. Abbey has been really lame lately and I've had to back off on our daily walks. We both miss it.
I've tried the speech transcribing thing and it doesn't get my words right.
