High Water in My Backyard -- Nearly (oh and a stash report)

This is the normally dry area behind my house.  People often walk their dogs in there, but now it is pretty full of water!

This is the canal  in my subdivision.  It is high, very high. I will take some photos at normal level to show you later in the week.

BIG Difference!  Just wait and see!

Our flooding risk comes from the Amite River.  That is pronounced with a long A and Mitt (like Mitt Romney.)  Conversely, the nearby Comite river is pronounced Co-Meet.

I did a few things this week, but not a whole lot.

Actually, I counted the whole Reflection quilt.  I used a bunch of batik and hand dyed Fat Quarters for the top and some batiks for the backing. I am estimating based upon the size, I guess I could go and see it I could dig up the pattern.......but that seemed too much trouble.

  1. That is a lot of rain you have been dealing with. I can't imagine 12" in 24 hours! I don't have much of a change to my stash report except to add the two yards of minion fabric my sister brought me. I won't take off the Nocturne quilt fabric until after it is quilted.
