Riing, Ring.....It's For You!

I hung four telephones in the den this afternoon.

I found them in a portfolio in the storage building.  Carrie did them, probably in 10th or 11th grade.

Each one is the same but the lines used to create each one is different.  I had them framed the same with a slightly different mat treatment.

It took nearly 2 hours to hang them straight! I did the same thing as in the foyer with the dog  portraits using the brown paper to make the final placement decision.  I forgot to take a picture of the two potential choices.

Carrie does not know I did this.  I so love her work, but I am pretty sure that she is like most artists I know.......she can find all the mistakes in her own work.

They are so perfect in here.  Very modern, contemporary.  The repetition is fabulous.  The subjects are off the wall.

they are the perfect size for the wall.

You know, I have one of those old phones!  I need to dig it out and put it on the table there by Frank.  Wouldn't that be cool beans!  Hmmmm.....maybe I still have it, you know, the flood and all.

I am very pleased with myself!  Obviously, Frank is tired from all the critiquing he did.

  2. The drawing look so good! I like the different colored mats too! While I was cleaning out the office/bedroom in preparation for getting my floors sanded, I had a half dozen framed items just sitting on the floor. One of them was a print made by my son in high school. I have framed several of the things he made and have them throughout the house. I think he has a bit of an artist inside him, but it was never anything her pursued. I had a place in the office/bedroom that was perfect for the piece I found and it is now hanging on the wall. This is what mothers do!
