Cotton Robin and Privateers

I PROMISE I will come home and work on it.  I can mail it out tomorrow at the fake post office.  You know, where the machine will weigh it and print a label.  I don't think it is going overseas this time.

We went to the farmer's market this morning and scored a lot of veggies and some nice strawberries.  I eat 4 cups of veggies a day on this diet and I can go through some zukes and cukes!

The El Galeon de la Andalucia is tied alongside the USS Kidd right now.  The nickname for the Kidd was Pirates of the Seas.  So it is fitting that part of Spain's West Indies fleet would be nearby.

El Galeon is a replica of 16th and 17th century ship designs that served as the primary mode of ocean-going transportation for over 300 years. Constructed by the Nao Victoria Foundation in Spain in 2009-10, she has visited ports in four continents.

the line to get on the Kidd and El Galeon was about 3 blocks long so we decided to head up to the top of the parking lot and get a few photos from there.

As you can see the water in the Mississippi River is very high righ now.  When I get a new external drive I will try to access all my old documents and photos and compare the photos for you.  But it is high.  Usually you can see the bottom cradle the Kidd sits upon.

There is a monthly  Art Market there as well.  We walked around, looking at the various art people are selling.  Incredible stuff.

No quilts, there might be a market for $35,000 quilts, huh?
