Day 42 Porch Quilt Show and Youth

Day 42 of the porch quilt show is the first scrap quilt I ever made!
 I had been buying some fabrics and made some quilts. I found myself with all this leftover bits of stuff that really didn’t go together. So.....you make half square triangles !!  I made them light and dark and when they went together it was a fabulous grouping of design where not one fabric took over the whole show. A great lesson to learn was if you don’t like the fabric, just cut it smaller !  You can see it was also the first quilt that McGee ever ate. I need to cut off the edge and even that side out. I love the softness that come with a quilt that is used often and washes a lot!  The bonus photos are the exuberance of youth in the outdoor sun! #quiltswissy #quiltsanddogs #halfsquaretriangles
