Dead, Deader, Deadest

That describes my iPad.  When I dropped it on its corner, it mis-shaped the case.  Which made it impossible to make new again.  So we sent it off to the Happy iPad Land in the Sky.

And I bought a new friend.

For almost exactly the same price as the old one two years ago, I now have something like 168 gigs where the other one had 16.  And it is smaller, thinner and lighter.

And everything transferred.  Amazing.

And I had the Care Plan Meeting for my mom just before I found out about the iPad not makking it.  Mom is stable even though she is in the land of butterflies and dreams.

The best part of the day was lunch at my favorite Indian Restaurant with friend Tracy.  I showed her the Art Quilt Maps book by Valerie Goodwin.  She and I poured through every page for two hours.

It truly is an amazing book.   Yes, it is that wonderful!  And now you have proof, a normal person loves it!

Ok, back to Bonnie Hunter pieces!

OMG! What did I do now????

I was taking my stack of new books out to the back patio.  I was going to sit and look and read and consume them till Frank returned from the Parade meeting.  On the way out to the patio, I dropped my iPad.  The corner of it hit the stone walkway.  And the screen shattered!

I am very upset with myself.  I think I can take it to one of those phone fix up places.  Carrie had
them replace her iPhone screen for cheap.

I do not want to buy a new iPad, nor do I want to give my beloved device up!

Sigh.........

Oh, Books!

Frank didn't even remember his company decided several years ago to sign up the sales team up for points toward merchandise.  I guess we both thought it was cheesy stuff.  So when they announced the close of the program and he had like millions of points, we checked out the stuff.  It was like shopping on Amazon.com!!!

Too bad I don't have points now for a new iPad........

He bought a ton of movies, sci fi to B movies to current hits.  I got 3 or 4 kitchen appliances.  He got a blue ray player and a recorder.  I got some pots.  He got some grill stuff, I got a Cuisinart ice cream maker and that yogurt machine that keeps it cool after it finishes.  On and on til we could need no more!

He said he had 40,000 more points and nothing he wanted.  So I checked out the books, and aw quilt books!!!

I got these and used up the 40K points by rounding them off with two auto soap dispensers for my master bathroom.  I am in heaven!!!

IPad Update

Had to be restored.  Lost all my stuff.  But I am attempting to restore it, don't think I will have much sucess.

Tim said the problem was caused by an update from Apple.  And they are supposed to be so far ahead of Microsoft.  Give me my old faithful Microsoft.  The only time I had a virus was from a Mac computer.

Go figure.

So if you have a meeting with me in the next year, I may not be there!  Send me our appointment time so I can reload!

Ipad Rant

I really like the IPad but it is not anywhere near as reliable as any of my PCs have been.  I know there are those out there who love the Mac, but based upon my experience with this Ipad, I would never purchase one.

My Ipad constantly requires hard reboots and now is in what it calls "recovery mode".  I just may lose everything in it.  It is only two years old now.

I am soooo frustrated with it, just trying to deal with it has been one big hassle.  I have half a mind to trash it and get one of those notebook things.

glen:  and I really liked the thing too, it should have worked well
