Saints

I finished the quilting on the Saints Quilt.  The fabrics are so busy you really can't see any of the quilting!  That is fine.

I will trim and bind it at some future date and get it off to them before Xmas.  I need to wash it before I send it so I can gt the paper from the fleur di lis out from under the stitches.

Talk about fabrics that are great for hiding your stitching line!  Wow....

So, do you wash a quilt when it is done or do you let the new owner decide when to wash it?

I really need to get a better place to take pictures of finished quilts.......

lately I have been posting about neither Quilts nor Dogs.  Well, I did show you the Quilt Museum in Golden.  What did you think about that?

But here is a quilt related post.  I have purchased fabric!

It has a purpose and it will be used to its extinction.  that is the way is is supposed to be!

This month's rainbow challenge color is purple.   Yesterday I cut out some fox faces but haven't put them together yet.  I need an asterisk from last month and this month.  And I have added some swans and fish.   They are amazing.  And Leeanne from Not Afraid of Color is doing cows and teapots with cups and saucers.  OH do I want those too!

New Orleans Saints Quilt

I ordered 6 yards from the Quilted Owl in New Orleans.  I figured if anyone would have Saints fabric, they would.  And they did.

Look at these beauties.  I need a gold solid, which I have.  And maybe a black for binding, which I also have.  I think I still have some tiger fabric and some football fabric left over from Matt's Quilt.  Not much of either but maybe enough for at least one block each.

Darned computer, my *i* is sticking today.  Do you know how many i's are in my paragraphs?

Progress on the Saints and a Good Read

I got three more blocks done on the Saints before being called away to pick up McGee from his heartworm treatment.  It is coming along, the pillow is completed and I am not worried about having it ready for when Karen wants to meet for lunch and exchange gifts.  I more worry about what she will get as a giftie!

I had brought the cat in earlier for a fluid transfusion (she is in kidney failure) and was told that she is now known to have a nodule on her thyroid.  Which the vet says is not so bad if you have kidney failure, which is why she is doing so well with her kidneys.

If it is not one thing, it is another.  Cali is coming up on 18 years and is still catching lizards and going strong despite all this other stuff.

Today I won't ahve time to think again, I have a hair appt and then lunch, and I have to let dogs out.  Way too much running across town.  At least I am on the last CD of my exciting book, Remarkable Creatures by Tracey Chevalier!
