Remember that Grey Fabric From Yesterday........

That light grey fabric from yesterday was some that I had pre-flood.

It must have been close to the proximity of some Procion Dye containers.  there was a whole group of fabric that got some fugitive dye trapped in the fibers.

And there was the possibility it also had some blood.

I am not confirming nor denying that fact, but there was some red streaks on the grey fabric as well.  I did have jars of red and yellow Procion dyes in there, so, just sayin'.

At Joann's the other day, a tie dye kit just happened to jump into my basket.  It was on sale for $7.99 and felt like it needed to live with me for a while.   And it brought its friend, a red and yellow kit as well.

Doesn't that blue bird bath look great with my dye bath fabrics?

So this morning I was successful in dyeing both my hands green.  I told my performance classmates as I attempted to do four push ups (and failed, I only did three but it was two more than last month) that gloves are for sissys.

Along with these beauties, that used to be ugly grey streaked with some random fugitive blue dye and some potential crime scene blood there were some nicely colored wooden clothes pins.

I will iron them out and show you nice pictures tomorrow.  I am going to celebrate with a burger and fries tonight......just sayin'

You Will Be Glad To Know.......

I know you couldn't wait to see what shower curtain I chose.

And this is how you hang  it.

First you make some holes.

Hang the rod.........it won't stay like that.  do any of you have a curved L-shaped rod?

And then you screw it into the wall.

And put the other side up.  Gotta have two sides to everything!

THEN you hang the curtain.   DiNozzo is underfoot with everything I do.

However, the peachy hooks will not stay.  I will get some silver ones........well, you know, not REAL silver. Wouldn't that be decadent!

I went to BBB - that is Bed Bath and Beyond and chose a teal rug to match the ewer.  See, in spite of Frank thinking he totally hated the color and that I had lost my mind, it actually looks good.

And I got a couple of hand towels to hang in the ante-room.   As a bonus, it brings out the colors in the Iguana!

Now I need to make a teal hanging.  Furniture is the theme for the next Fiber Art Group Challenge, so I guess I need a teal chair!  Or chest of drawers.

And to save you from making a quilt that screams the Devil, here are the offending tiles.

52 Photos - Week 38 - Teal

This week Belle's prompt is a color.  I was secretly hoping she would make it sunset since I have these beauties from my birthday on Saturday.  There is no teal in that sunset though!

Teal seems to be the "it" color now.  Carrie has filled her house with it.  All the new fabric lines are coming out in teal.  Lois' shirt on Family Guy is teal, which I never thought of before.  I wonder if she ever really washes that shirt, seems she wears it every week.

There is nothing in my yard that is teal.  Nor my house.  Nor my shirt.   I guess we are not really modern.

I do have teal fabric, though!  You know me, I always can produce fabric in whatever color you can name (and then some).......

I am so into foxes right now.  And these cuties are one of my favorite pieces.  I wonder what makes foxes so fabulous?
