June is my month for the virtual bee over at BumbleBeans' 15 Minute Play. I love all the blocks I have made so far for the others in the Virtual Bee there. And I knew I would have to think outside the box to get something equally spectacular for my month.
I decided on leaves.
So if you want to see the technique I used, hop on over to http://www.15minutesplay.com/2011/05/june-scrap-bee-block-from-glen.html
I enjoyed visiting your blog. I will be making some leaves for you. I am in the Scrap Bee on the 15 minute site with you. I have learned so much about quilting since I started blogging. I live in Lafourche parish. Our kids live in Houma. We are praying the flooding will not be too bad.
ReplyDeleteI'll be back - I need to go see the 'tute' on curved piecing.

I love those leaves! Thank you for the link too, I need to find time to try it.
ReplyDeleteOk girlfriend - I'm back and much more knowledgable thanks to you! I must admit I like the applique (raw edge) stuff much better. But I really like how you did the spine and veins. OK - what's next.

Glen - This really a cute block - and so clearly explained too! We are pointing to your blog and this block this week for the Friday Block Party.
