This is so odd. I cannot get the comments to open on that post about my mom. I did read them once, but then the screen reverts to white every time. I guess it is telling me that there are much larger problems out there than mine.
I do, however, want to let those friends who did comment, that I did get to read your comments, albeit once :-)
And to say, thank you. I know as we get older our parental units get ill and die, and we all face that. I am glad she is not in pain, and has a short memory. Alzheimers is a good and a bad thing. She just doesn't remember.
I thank you again, my friends. For listening and caring about what I feel. It makes such a difference.
glen: now to go kill a dog.........
I couldn't comment on your earlier post, so I'll say it here: good for you for stepping up to care for your mom, and blessings on you each day.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it interesting how the comments won't enter... hmm, sort of like life. You will get through this time, and the memory of the goodness and loving times will be stronger than the memory of the sadness...
ReplyDeletewhat did DiNozzo do now???
Glen- I went back and read your Pity post-I haven't been on the blogs much this year. Like someone else said you are doing the right thing in taking care of your Mom and you won't have to carry the guilt that you you weren't there for her like others in your family. I am in your boat a little. My parents gave my 2 brothers everything. They have no work ethics and it shows!
ReplyDeleteTake good care of yourself!
Well, your brother will gets his soon. He is teaching his children and spouse and you how he wants to be treated when he gets older. Circle.
