I am totally amazed we have managed to stay married for so long. Sometimes he is very difficult to work with. The ultimate goal was to get the elephant quilt hung behind the bed. And finally we got it done without ripping each other's throats out. (I am sooooo more practical minded and better at hanging things STRAIGHT than he is)
And it looks amazing!
Before -- BORRRRRING!
After -- AMAAAZINGGGGGG!
Do you want to see the res of the room?
Here is the tour -----------------
I stenciled the lacy curtain on the wall. It is Moroccan in style.
This is Frank's side of the room. With the palm tree.
His side has the cheetahs.
My side has the monkey.
This is the "reading nook".
Currently it is the dog chair. McGee is on the ottoman but I cover it with the bedspread because Bassets smell musty.
That is my cool bedroom. What I didnt show you was the pile of uilts and my jeans on the cedar chest at the foot of the bed. and the messy bureau top. And the laundy basket of about 4 loads of Frank's socks, underwear and jeans that he refuses to put away until it overflows.
Maybe one day I will show you my Greecian Spa Bathroom!
It is amazing! I know b/c I have been there. Can't wait to visit again!
ReplyDeleteThe Ellie's look great there! Isn't that chair called a fainting couch? I believe you are supposed to lay on it while frank fans you and feeds you grapes.
ReplyDeleteROFL--we were having the battle of the overflowing baskets tonight. Pointed out his EMPTY drawers!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an exotic bedroom! I remember the days of having a husband who wouldn't put their crap away.
ReplyDeleteThat is AMAZING! As much as I love my husband, there are just some things I'm much better at than he is (plumbing, electrical, hanging stuff straight, keeping the house nice....)...he is a GREAT helper though and I couldn't ask for a better guy to clean up after me! I remodel, he cleans up! We've learned our places over the years and we are both fine with them....much more peaceable too.
