Tonight I made some of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Purple.
If you remember, I am using my RSC 2016 in a way that combines it with Katja Marek's Blocks on the Go from her book The New Hexagon.
I got two of the four done while watching Dancing With The Stars and Lucifer. (Love that guy!)
But I digress.....
It was a weird day.
I realized my foot pedal for my favorite machine is broken.
There is a Husqvarna store inside Joann's but they won't talk to you unless you bought the machine from them.
So many rules.......
It is like they don't know that we were made to break rules not keep them. Rules should not apply to the over 50 crowd! And in my case the over 65 crowd.
ReplyDeleteSewing machine rules...that's not right! I'd call the company and ask where you should go and let them know how that store operates
ReplyDeletenot very quilter-ly...
ReplyDeleteI watch dancing with the stars..., Now I have someone to talk to about it! Yea! LeeAnna
Shame on you for having a favorite machine! The others are probably all broken-hearted. And what will they all think if you get another? As for the cruel store, try to remember that at least you didn't spend big bucks (like the cost of a favorite machine) there. Maybe if you snuggle up to them and ask sweetly and curtesy just right they'll help you. But get ready to hand over big bucks.
ReplyDeleteI've heard horror stories about sewing machine dealers in Joanne's stores - beware! Danger Will Robinson!
ReplyDeleteI had a pet turtle once upon a time.
ReplyDeleteHis name was Lucifer.
Not a nice turtle, as turtles go.
Same can be said of some store staff at times.
It's doubtful a stray dog will swipe these staff members from their pond, but perhaps a dog will one day pee on their shoes.
:)
Sweet blocks. I'm coordinating RSC16 with OMG by picking a UFO that has the color of the month. I don't know anyone else who watches Lucifer. The Devil you can't not love.
ReplyDeleteHope you are able to find someone to take care if your favorite machine. Maybe your backup will become your new favorite while you wait.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful EPP blocks; you must have the patience of a saint!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite machine just had an owie, too, so I can empathize. Hopefully you can find someone to fix yours!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
We are all backing you on the Joanne's issue. If they treat potential customers that way, there won't be many left.
ReplyDeleteCute blocks. Hope you can locate a new foot pedal for your sewing machine.
ReplyDeleteThat butterfly block is AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I have a wonderful Viking dealer... wish I could send her to you. She services all machines. I'd call the company and let them know your experience... not right at all. Hope you are able to get her fixed soon. Very pretty purples.
ReplyDeleteLove your hexies. I found so much information online for vintage sewing machines that I wonder of you wouldn't find better help online.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are lovely. Boo on the store.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty hexies. Hopefully you can find another place to find out about your foot pedal.
