Those Triangle blocks on the side are about 9 1/2 inches each. You would think I would have measured the tree with that convenient tape measure.........I am thinking I need to take the two bottom small blocks out and turn them around so they come out from under the last set of branches.
QUILTS AND DOGS We are back in the house since the Aug 2016 flood. Dogs are great and I am back to doing the quilting thing. Join us on our new journey in a "new" house.

Three Days and One Tree
Those Triangle blocks on the side are about 9 1/2 inches each. You would think I would have measured the tree with that convenient tape measure.........I am thinking I need to take the two bottom small blocks out and turn them around so they come out from under the last set of branches.

your tree is getting better and better! I like the triangles all bunched on their own. Are you thinking of the tree like a medallion?
ReplyDeleteI like the colors of the triangles. Not being an art quilter, I really can't see where you are going with the tree. Would the triangles on the bottom represent the roots of the tree?
ReplyDeleteI agree about moving those two small blocks. They just don't make a good flow to the tree. You have how many more trees to make?
ReplyDeleteI never look that far ahead! putting two blocks under facing the others would be very interesting. I like this a lot. I think the scale difference is an important design element, keep working... back to work!
