I am going to get the Improv Stripes put together.
And maybe get the Dino Panel I got for Sawyer while I was in
North Carolina may get put on the longarm. It should be a quick
finish.
I will keep it here for him, if Carrie gets her hands on it, I will never see it again.
While I was at the CAAWS Shelter yesterday, Julie brought me the painting of McGee she did for me.
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
There he sits with his Martini and Rope Toy. Yep, that's McGee!
Here is the Leaves quilt I finished yesterday. The binding is now done!
All I need is a label, which is what I hate to do most of all.
They call her Iris. Do you wonder why?
Love your leaves quilt....send it my way and I'll put a label on it. Pssssssst you may not get it back though. And, Iris is too precious. I hope her adoption is a speedy one. With those little beggar eyes, screaming "take me, take me", who could resist. I can see that she's a people pleaser and will make someone a very happy parent.
ReplyDeleteI know watching the floods in Houston must be tremendously upsetting to you... hang in there. I just saw photos of the Cajun Navy driving into Houston last night - truck after truck with the little flat-bottomed boats on the back that work so well.
ReplyDeleteJust keep breathing.
McGee's painting is awesome. Leaves is gorgeous. Hugs and prayers still heading your way.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are planning to be busy. I love labels. From simple to embroidered. McGee needs a typewriter and smoking jacket like his namesake. But seriously that is a wonderful portrait.
ReplyDeleteAgreed with the other comments - she did a fabulous job with the portrait. And love love that leaf quilt!
ReplyDeleteThe leaves quilt is very cute. I love what you are doing with the improve strips!
