Back to the original quilt for the babe. Carrie keeps asking me if I am working on it so I guess I need to get to it!
Here it is before
I fought it all the way. For some reason my sewing machine started putting a loop on the bottom side. The more I sewed, the more loops appeared. I fiddled with the top tension, the bottom tension. I changed the thread. I rewound the bobbin.
Nothing changed those loops
So I put the old bobbin carrier back into the machine and the loops stopped.
Hmmmmm.
I still have 5 more blocks to do, but I am almost liking the size it is here.......
I think I need to rearrange some of the blocks to get a more even color flow. I don't have the exact colors on the pattern cover, but they are close.
I am going to make the other 5 blocks, and see how they fit in. I have 2 green, 2 teal and a purple so they will need to be integrated rather than just stuck on the bottom.
What's the block called? It looks like a bow on a package.
ReplyDeleteLooks good.this quilt wouldn't work for it but have you seen the chenille they have now that comes in roll like tape? You sew it down between the blocks and after the quilt is finished you wash the quilt and it get all fuzzy.
That is going to be a beautiful quilt! Glad you figured out a solution for the looping problem. Had you bought a new bobbin carrier for some particular reason?
