European Patchwork Meeting 2018

24th EUROPEAN PATCHWORK MEETING
This important quilting event was launched 24 years ago to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Jacob Amman’s founding of the Amish community in St. Marie aux Mines. Quilting has played an important role in Amish life ever since, making St. Marie the perfect location to celebrate the best that contemporary patchwork quilting has to offer. The event has developed to become the largest festival in Europe attracting over 22,000 visitors.


Did you know that the Amish movement started in Alsace? A direct result is the largest European market devoted to the of patchwork held in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines for the past 15 years. Exhibitions, classes, lectures, commercial area, fashion shows etc.

    Thanks gor the info, SO cool that you are there - but honestly it is very hard to read blue text on a black background ...

    I very much enjoy your blog, but is very difficult to read when you use colors, especially with the black background. Enjoy your trip!
