Four Patch Hell

I am in Four Patch Hell.

But I am working my way out of there.

Slowly, ever so slowly.

It started with me making 100 Four Patch Units of red and beige.  Loved it.

Then I decided to do some for Charlene.  She said she is wanting to do white and red.  So I pulled out the few pieces of white - .

white I had in the stash  - and made 88 perfect Four Patch units.  They got sent off in the mail this morning.  I can't wait for her to get that package!

And then...…

I decided that I really liked those white and red Four Patch units and wanted some for myself.  So I dumped the red and beige FPUs and make the necessary white and red FPUs.

So I started from Patch One again.

By dinner time I had...….well, I had 20 finished and trimmed FPUs and 30 more waiting to be trimmed.  I also had two "mini jelly rolls" for more tomorrow.

I am slowly, ever so slowly digging myself out of Four Patch Hell or FPH, as those of us who are in it, we call it.....

FPH.

By the time this is all over I will have made 4, 682 FPUs.

  2. What are you going to do with the beige and red ones? Those are too pretty to just sit in a box. You sure got on a roll to make so many of the 4-patches so quickly!

  3. Someone tell her that you can match them in the quilt and nobody will notice and if they have the gall to comment refer them to Bonnie. Next clue tomorrow! DGS#9 set me up another machine so I am sewing again!

  4. When I first saw these I thought you might be making Bonnie's new mystery quilt. Red and white is always lovely. I look forward to seeing what you actually do with these.

  7. p.s. why not use BOTH the red/white and the red/cream? No one ever said they had to be all alike . . . .
