Fishes of the Sea

i have been wanting to do a fish quilt since I saw Bernadette Mayr’s Quilt on Pinterest. I bought her book bout it was not included in Nature Inspired Modern Quilts. When I wrote to her she delighted me with the pattern.....but it was written in German!  I was able to get some of it translated, but was not really able to make great fish.

So when I saw Nicholas Ball’s book Quilting Inspiration I fell in love once again with fish!  So I started collecting the deep indigo blues. And at the retreat I made some fishes!

I think everyone was surprised at how each one was different and how they all came together like they did.  I am. It sure if they need more friends, or if they need some border work now.  

They can swim around for a bit and see what happens, it could go either way!
