This was my eye appointment between the England trip and the surgery trip.
We had lunch at the Rum House — chilli lime glazed shrimp taco with a side of plantains!! Can’t beat that for a meal before surgery! Who cares about calories at a time like that!
Eye doc looked all around and even though there was a good bit of improvement, it was not as much as he wanted to see. So he is changing my steroid and the antibiotic to a stronger set. Not necessarily what I wanted to hear, but he assures me this is a long process. Through the film haze I can see (somewhat) clearly so my vision itself is not compromised.
During the eye test I could correctly identify two more lines than last time. But the funny thing was that I couldn’t name anything with square edges correctly! I still can’t see the details! And I still need to close that eye to read.
Slow recovery, hope the thyroid will be faster!

QUILTS AND DOGS We are back in the house since the Aug 2016 flood. Dogs are great and I am back to doing the quilting thing. Join us on our new journey in a "new" house.
I hope the change in meds speeds the recovery. Terry and I both have cataracts...Terry's is worse. That seems to be the next medical procedure between us. It's the pits not to be able to see clearly.
