Home!

The London Heathrow Airport workers decided to delay the industrial action until the 6th of August so we had no problems getting home.  The pilot actually cut an hour and 12 minutes off the 10 and a a half hour flight home but I was hurting so badly by mid flight.  And to add to the misery I was had a migraine coming on strong.

We got up at 4:30 AM London time and arrived in Baton Rouge about 1:45 AM London time or 6 PM Baton Rouge Time. It was a long hard day.  I am getting way too old to be forced into on position for 24 hours. And I can no longer take Tylenol or ibuprofen because of the looming surgery on Thursday.

Some of us had our seat assignment moved around to allow a children’s sports team together. Stella and I were moved to Economy Plus but some like Marchita were moved further back to the last seats.  I was at least grateful for the aisle seat.   Diana had a seat by Marchita and I wandered back there a few times to check on her.

The dogs were so happy to see me, they went crazy!  It was good to hold a face in my hands again.  I do miss them when I go somewhere.

Frank met us at the airport, OK .... it was good to see him too!    I crashed about 10 and woke up at 4 AM looking for my bangers and tomatoes breaky.

While i was gone Frank, Andrew Hunter and Sawyer put together the Murphy Bed for Franks office.  It looks great and accomplishes exactly what I was hoping, gives us a bed but does it take up a lot of room in his office.  Thanks guys!

  2. Welcome home! The murphy bed looks great. I will be thinking of you on Thursday; I hope everything goes well. In the meantime, get some rest and try to get your internal clock straightened out.
