Cotton Robin Big Reveal

Every year I participate in the Cotton Robin set up and orchestrated by Julie Waldman of Floribunda Quilts.    Every year we send in unsuspecting center blocks.  They make the rounds and end up finished and embellished and quilted beauties!

Every year, I am in awe of the creativity and ideas of my fellow Robineers.  Some people will say they can't do it because they don't have a place to put a small piece.  But working on a project like this is so much more.  It  stretches your skills, brings a level of craftsmanship from you that makes you think outside your box.  It is the apex of creativity and inspiration.  Please consider joining us next year.  You will definitely grow!

Today was the big reveal for all the quilts since they are all back home now. I am SOOOOOO loving mine!  It is bright and fun and amazing!

My Last Round in Cotton Robin is Complete

I was responsible for putting the finishing touches on the Cotton Robin piece i received last month.

It totally threw me for a loop as it is not a natural thing for me to look at a piece and know how it wants to be quilted.   But I knew I had to finish it.  When I started this afternoon it just flowed!

I love it.  I really should add just one more thing.,.....some beading.  Maybe....we shall see.

I also received my block back in all its awesomeness.  But I can't show it to you just yet, until they are all home.

I can, however, show you my totally fantastic......absolutely masterful..........masterfully awesome circles I did on the piece i finished.
