Strips and a New Camera - Feather Bed --- Oh Yes!
I decided that I needed to get some of the scraps on my cutting table under control. While Frank watched the first half of the football game with the 'Aints, I started sewing them in strips. I saw one of the ladies whose blog I follow was sewing some strips from flannels and made a really pretty drunkard's path top. I think I can make these strips into a modern quilt by making some large drunkard paths and using a solid background. Either that or I am going to have to start separating the darks and the lights, which I am not worrying about now. Just grab and sew!
Oh, man! I just realized I could make my own Feather Bed Quilt that Sophie won't give me! LOL.
When we went to get on our bikes for a 3 mile ride, yes I am doing some riding to strengthen the knee, I had trouble getting my camera in the front saddle bag.
We went out to Best Buy this morning and got me a new camera. The one Frank got me for my birthday is a huge camera compared to the ones I have been using for the last 10 or so years. I am used to carrying it in my pocket! I wanted a smaller one for biking and where ever I need to use my hands and not carry a large camera
I got the Fuji Finepix XL for $79. It has 16 megapixels, 5 X zoom. It is light and small. Just exactly what I wanted! And for cheap!
It boggles my mind that I get 100 times the camera that I used 20 years ago, for 10 % of the price.
You can tell from the photos I just took wth the new camera, that we had a very active day today!

It is wonderful that you were able to get back on the bicycle! It was so nice here this past weekend that I pried myself away from the sewing machine and went for a walk.
