The cyber world is against me this morning. Here is a working link to Off the Wall.

I have no idea why the Rouge Marais Plantation map has disappeared, but here it is again.
I it is small, for me. I was kinda surprised to see that Valerie Goodwin worked in small pieces. I don't know why small always surprises me, but it does.
Small makes sense. It allows you to try out a technique without the large investment of time, materials and money of much larger pieces. It respects the space you have (or don't have) for viewing, hanging, working and handling.
So why am I so surprised when a piece is 6 by 8?
If I remember what I measured and wrote down, Rouge Marais is like 15 x 17. Maybe just smaller than that.
Michael Young, show curator, told me they would hang the show on Monday and it would open on Jan 13, 2015.
I told Carrie it was her daughterly duty to go see this show. I don't think she has made it to any of the others, although I think I maybe forced her to go last show.
And for some reason the dogs want to be outside. It is obviously too cold for the boys, but Chloe was raised to think she is a Swissy and loves the cold. There is a slight rain of freezing pellets, not enough to make it on the ground, I think it is just above freezing at the moment.
I just don't think the bassets need to be outside.......they think otherwise so we play musical doors. In and out, in and out, in and out.
I am going to sew and they need to just settle on the sofa while Mr. Roomba works his butt-ons off!
a map quilt ... that so cool! And love the blocks of contrast in color and the lines in your oil rig quilt for the show!
