If you need a tax deduction for the 2016 year or you just want to help Roo, please help us pay for this surgery for her.  She is about 4 lbs and will be up  for adoption after her stitches come out and she is cleared by a cardiologist vet.

The Story

Dear CAAWS Friends and Supporters,
We need a Christmas Miracle! Roo is only almost 4 months old and her life is in danger. She has Patent Ductis Arteriosus (PDA). She needs surgery immediately to correct a vessel in her heart that was supposed to close up when she was born. Her heart is pumping 2 ½ times the amount of blood it should and if she doesn’t get this surgery she will die within weeks to months.
For now, she has to remain calm so as not to go into cardiac arrest.  We are trying to schedule the surgery to get an estimate on the cost which right now could be anywhere between two to four thousand dollars.

In order to make this Christmas miracle come true, we need your help. Please consider donating to CAAWS to support Roo.

Thank you for helping us help animals in need. Together we can continue to provide love, hope, and care to our special friends like Roo. Please, open your hearts and give today this holiday season.
Wishing you and yours a happy holiday season.

Sincerely,
The Capital Area Animal Welfare Society
