The minute it was set up and Amanda left, Frank comes out of his office and announces he doesn't like it. He thinks the room is too cluttered. Huh?
And you know what? That doesn't matter. I do like it.
I told him he would get over it. Especially since we have lived with NO furniture there for 7 months. It was pretty uncluttered all that time!
Now I need to collected our pictures and see how they fit on the new walls and new configuration.
You decide for yourself. And remember....no matter what - the sofa stays!
I have no dog in this hunt and choose to leave it that way. I do like the sofa and hope you make the room as warm and cozy as you want it to be. I also hope that Frank warms up to it. Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI envision a square or rectangular coffeetable with open legs , maybe black wrought iron. That will open up the space visually, and fit more harmoniously square crook of the couch... my two cents worth ... take it or leave it !!! love the couch, and he will love that you have all that seating when you have guests.
ReplyDeleteLove the color! (LOL) I think it's great.
ReplyDeleteIt obstructs his usual path from hall to outside door. There was more furniture before but in a different arrangement. Once he gets use to the flow I am sure he will be OK.
ReplyDeleteColor Love! Here's hoping that Frank learns to love it. How he doesn't, I can't imagine...men
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the challenge of going from NO furniture to a room full of new pieces. Like the new couch and the color. You'll get it all worked out . . . no worry here.
ReplyDeleteWait until the first time he stretches out on it to watch TV. He will think it is great! It is a huge change to go from an empty room to having furniture. The two round rattan tables would be a bit too much for me, but it is your house and you do what you like!
ReplyDeleteMaybe lose one of the round pieces in the middle.
ReplyDeleteLooks cozy!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's the two basket things - they take up a lot of room. The Bassett seem to approve, I see them sniffing all the new smells. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI saw the animal league of Baton Rouge on Rachael Ray yesterday! They had video of men plucking poor dogs out of the water from near death during the flood. It was heartwarming to see. She had a bunch of the dogs on the show so people could see them that are up for adoption. I'm sure she gave them a boatload of money as well.
