^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Going UP ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The ceiling fan arrived, as you know, and Frank called Hunter to ask if he could help with the chore of putting it up.
It took them only one trip to the hardware store, lunch at the newly opened Shrimp Basket and a lot of alien theories.
The last fan was such a huge heavy looking one, this sleek ceiling hugging fan makes the ceilings in the room soar! The room looks less cluttered because your eye is not drawn up. Well, make that read the ceiling looks less cluttered, the room still looks cluttered to me.
Frank was concerned that the fan with only three blades wouldn't move as much air as the original fan with 5 blades. But the pitch on these blades is steeper than most fans and it blows some air around, let me tell you!
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Coming Down ////////////////////////////////////////
The Kaleidoscope of Quilts Show came down on Thursday. I went over and helped distribute quilts back to their owners and coordinate the poles and hanging wires.
The very last quilt to be taken down was the Daily Bird. It had been hanging in the very front of the library behind the checkout desk.
When I was walking around helping I had a number of people stop me asking if that was my quilt. Everyone loved it! They wanted it to stay on that wall forever!
It really was a great place for it, a perfectly sized wall.
Maybe I should have left it there for a while!
I love the fact that the daily bird was so loved! I also love your fan now that it is finally in place! Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYou had quite a fiasco getting that fan. I'm so glad you like it. We have two old fashion ones in our living room. I like that they move the air, but I would love to have just one that works as well AND has no light fixture attached. I cannot understand why everyone in my family like that light from above. It glares in MY eyes. Maybe when no one is looking I should try softer bulbs. I'm not going to the expense of a new fan right now. Terry's Doctor bills/ new fan. No choice to make. i love the daily bird. With my love of birds, I know a bird quilt is in my future.

I've wondered how well the 3-blade fans work; thanks for the info. They update your room so much. We all need fans but most are stuck in the 80s, aren't they? Not you, though.
ReplyDeleteThe new fan looks great! Your room is cluttered? How can that be? You lost nearly everything you owned in the flood two years ago and you are already dealing with clutter? There is no hope for the rest of us! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteThat bird quilt is wonderful and so fun! You need to find a place in your house to hand it up so you can enjoy it everyday.
I love that fan! Mine are so old and wobbly I don't dare use them I would have to pay someone to replace them or remove them and it's just not worth it
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing yours maybe I should rethink that.
