No Tropical Storm Here

Just a quick post to let you know we are no longer under a Tropical Storm warning here in Baton Rouge, La.  areas east of us are dealing with Gordon, but we are sporting sunshine and unicorns!

The baby was with us today, and he will go home with a huge bump on his head.  He walked right into the table that his mother hit her head on a few times.  Like mother, like son, I guess.

It is one of the three pieces of furniture that made it through the flood to torment future generations.

  1. At least it isn't picture day for Sawyer. We are still under a watch or warning, but will get a little rain - not like the rain you got.

  4. Poor baby! Did he let you ice it down? Glad the storm is out of your way. We need Gordon to bring Ohio some rain and cooling temperatures. It is September and the high today is forecasted to be 93!

  5. So glad that you didn't get hit hard. I thought of you when I saw that storm path. Some weather people say we will see rain from Gordon here in Northern Indiana...some say no. No matter, we are getting rain right now from somewhere else. Have not had to put fresh water in the pond very often THIS year!

  6. Glad there's not storm for you. We've gotten a ton of rain, we are waiting for the river to crest, should be tomorrow. Hopefully no water in the yard. Great Granddaughter, almost 2, was here for the weekend. She took a header at the home where my mom lives, has a big bump on her forehead. WE got an ice pack from the nure at the home, she put it on her bump, her head, her arm, and didn't even seem to have a headache. My head hurt just looking at the bump! Not his first bump, I can imagine it won't be the last!
