Sunday Shower

Shower!  It felt like a luxury to stand in the shower and wash the hospital off.  Now I need one of those little Frenchie Scarves to tie around my neck bandage so people won’t run screaming from the room.

My friend Charles brought me a Sonic milkshake for dinner on Thursday and I have been craving another one ever since.  That is until I saw the write up from the doctor, in which he noted I was an overweight female.  Thanks, doc....

I lost 3 lbs in the hospital, in spite of that milkshake, so there!

In the doorway behind me you can see the corner of my Longarm.  I can’t run it until I can see out of both eyes, my right eye still has shingles inside. The Eye Doc, who didn’t call me fat, changed my meds to stronger steroids and stronger antibiotics.  I wanted to wait till after the surgery to start changing that.

As it was, I was having some allergic reaction to something on the last day of the hospital stay. By the time I got home  my face was red and my eyes were swelling.  Geez, let it not be reacting to the new synthroid pill.

Luckily it was not. Most likely it was the chemicals and bleach since it seemed like an inhalant reaction rather than an ingested allergy.

Anyway, I am not going to die of anaphylactis.

And I am remembering to take my synthroid pill every morning.

  4. I am glad you are home and I hope you are resting. I can't believe that doctor called you overweight! You have lost weight and look so good. What would have he said if you hadn't lost those pounds? I hope your eye clears up soon. I know how frustrating it can be. I got a herpes infection in my left eyes years ago and it took four months before it cleared up. It changed my vision and I had to get new glasses because my vision changed so much. Take care!

  5. I'm pretty sure at my age the only way to lose weight is exercise. I'm allergic to it. I'm pretty sure I am, lol. Glad your recuperation is going well.
