Day 39 Porch Quilt Show

Day 39 of the Porch Quilt Show is my newest finish. Last night I put the final stitch in the top. I still need to do the binding. This quilt is Improv Piecing using the parts of a traditional quilt I cut out years ago and never

finished. Each block is based on a traditional log cabin block. Sherry Lynn Wood taught a workshop in Broussard LA in November using this “score” technique to create amazing quilts and base layers for art pieces.

I quilted it on the long arm using straight lines intersecting perpendicular lines. It is my@most favorite quilt to date! #lovemychannellocks #modernimprovquilting #quiltswissy #quiltsanddogs
