Design Wall 2-20-12

Well, I guess I should work on the Elephants.  They did come all the way from Sri Lanka to get put into my quilt.  After I complete this Plaid Shirt Wonky Log Cabin with Shadows I will work on the Elephants.

I do have the Stained Glass Quilt but that has no deadlines.  It is a Quilt-Along and I am way way way ahead!

Flowery Fabric

The Shadows had a few dilemmas.  Like after 8 blocks I realized I only had enough left for about 5 or 6 more.  So I had to come up with a second fabric on a Sunday afternoon while watching my stash's waistline.  I found these two that might work and opted for the lighter one.  The flowery one made the block disappear.

So on Sunday night I made 4 of the light ones to scatter in to see if I liked them.  And I do.  I will use the flowery print for the border and backing.

This will be a Screaming Yellow Quilt!  But I guess we all have to have one of those!  I have 8 more blocks to go, it will be 4 x 5 and 20 blocks.  12 are done so far!

How in the world will I quilt it?
