In Miami, the port is heavily guarded. As our ship Norwegian Bliss set sail, this Coast Guard boat whisked around looking for trouble. The soldier never took his hand off his gun. That, my friends, is a 50 caliber gun! I think people salute him!
Then there was this funky lighthouse in the park by the Art Deco Section. You can see bright colored buildings in the background.
I think this photo will make me rich. I need to sell it to Carnival. The Carnival Sensation was docked behind our ship in Miami. They left just before we did and I got some great shots of the ship leaving.
Several days later while we were leaving St Thomas I was taking this sunset. I didn't even realize the cloud looked like a whale tail (or even the Carnival ship stacks) until I saw it on the camera later that night. I'll bet Carnival could use it for a commercial or something!
That is a big gun. Are they guarding against drugs or terrorism or both? Those are some beautiful photos!
