Storm Waiting

this is definitely the worst part.  The waiting.   Barry reached hurricane status briefly but went back to TS status once it made landfall.

The storm even looks like it is degrading.  We are all holding our breathe as it could be so much worse.   Like waiting for that other shoe to fall.   When we left we turned the air conditioner off to protect the compressor and fan motor.  But we left the electricity on hoping to at least save the fridge if it didn’t flood.

Mississippi and Alabama have had the brunt of the rainfall so far.  And the sparsely inhabited Southern Louisiana  marshland.

I am not ready to go home yet.  One more night here will make me feel better.
