There is one less great dog in this world. Tycho or Brendamine's Interplanetary died last night. She was nearing her 11th burthday so she did make the proverbial double digits all Swissy owners hope for.
I knew her all her life, she was such a sweet girl. A bit shly when she first met you, but if you scratched her ears she became your great friend.
She was a comfort to her mom Valerie through some rough spots in her life. That was tycho's style-- low key, head on your leg and these soulful eyes.
I don't have my computer to post any pictures right now, I will have to catch you up on all those thngs later.
Go swiftly, sweet girl, go across that bridge and find Bonnie Doon for me. And carry my love to her.

Design Wall Monday 6-13-11
Together we did a Jelly Roll Race quilt that I need to put borders on and get quilted for this week's meeting as a demo piece for our upcoming Show in August.
And The baby quilt needs to be quilted. Just finding the time is difficult. But now the weekend is over maybe I can find time during the week to get some of these done.
Oh, and I have the strip quilt I cut up and am putting back together still in the same place as last week.
Lots of projects, not much progress!

Second Charity Quilt working
In spite of itching, I needed something to do. So I called Valerie, who was brave enough to be around me today, and we worked on the Sassi Strippers Charity quilts. We got the two tops put together and we sandwiched both of them. Tomorrow or Friday we will get working on the quilting part. It will be a good first quilting effort for her to practice a new technique!
I love them both! Wait till you see the BLACK one!

Design Wall Monday 5-30-11
It is actually a friend's design bed. It will be her second quilt from beginning to end. It is a charity quilt that will hang in our annual Quilt Show in August and be donated, probably to the Giving Quilt people. The pattern is a mystery quilt that was designed to be used only for charity. The entire guild has sew days and there are about 5 of these in production at this moment.
the only thing I have sewn this week I can't show you. They are the Quiltmaker's Volume 4 100 Blocks test blocks.

Bike Riding Tomorrow and Flannel Quilts Today
We are going bike riding again tomorrow. I hope to have some new pictures and maybe another picture of Amber. What a coup that would be!
Meanwhile,
I have been working on the Memory Quilt with Valerie. This is made with the t-shirts and flannel pajamas she took when she went home to her dad's funeral. It will be the second quilt for Valerie. And it is also the second flannel quilt for Valerie, imagine that here in South Louisiana!
She proudly showed the center of the quilt at the guild meeting on Thursday. We worked on the piano key border tonight while Frank and the dogs watched the LSU game. Valerie's mom will ultimately end up with the quilt so she can have her husband's favorite t-shirts and flannel pjs to cuddle with. What a great thing to have. I am so glad to be helping with this project.
