Finish!
I guess I need a better name than just Black Squares. Although that is what it is!
It has a bit of zebra.
Front and back.
Lap sized.
The temps were in the mid 50s this morning, but the sun is bright and clear. These two were cuddled
up together in the flower bed, taking advantage of body heat and sun!

All I Will Say, the Monster Dog Is Still Alive.......
By the skin of his teeth.......his father came home and fed him and talked to him and protected him from the horrible thunderstorms that passed through. I was doing none of that for him.
MY good dog slept in the corner of my quilt room while I sorted out what needed to be done to save the Rosette. I actually cried about mid afternoon.
I need to at least figure out how to get the outside ring of paper templates back into the last round. He ripped out a group of stitching but I am going to try to see about hand sewing without the template papers. It seems insurmountable, but I will at least try.

Last resort, I order another rosette #1 and start over.
After my cry, I put it away and pulled out two quilts on which I needed to finish sewing the binding. They are both now in the finish column.
Cascading stars is pretty traditional. My excuse for that is it was started in like 2007. I remember picking out the fabrics and being fascinated with the fact that you had to keep up with the diagonals.
The Neighborhood came from an old book but is way more modern. Lots of solids, and some traditionals in the mix. the houses are all solid. the windows are just cut out and stitched around after all the quilting was done. The edges I left to fray look like eyelashes!
I worked on this at a retreat and one lady kept saying I was making swatstikas. I really wasn't and worked really hard to make the changes necessary to the garden blocks so she wouldn't freak out.
You know me, Swastika Girl........

A Finish to Report and the Week Ahead on the Design Wall Monday
My standard Sunday Night Fare.
The great thing about finishing KerBloomm! is that I get to claim the quilt and the backing on both my next week's Stash Report AND my OPAM for April. Which means I am at 14 completions for the year, and I am right on track for One Project A Month for the first quarter of 2014. Yes!
ed that that only works on the four small corners and that all the stars require angled lines, I could have rethought the process and made a different choice.
See where I forgot to lock the rollers? It made the quilt skew and the sewing line was skewed as well.
The other thing I wanted to get accomplished this week is to finish up Sunshine on the Water for the Fiber Group. And I need to put the borders on the Machine Quilt and get that ready for the frame. I already have the backing!
That will be a nice finish to report on my Stash Report as well!

Buggy Barn Dogs Completed
I love the colors, the dogs, the modern quilting and the entirety of it all.
It is now in the finished column.
These were taken in my River Birch tree as it begins to turn into a green leafy profusion. See my deck in the back of it? I love that deck. It is cool in the shade even in the heat of the summer.
The quilting was done on my Husqvarna Domestic. Not sure what to call the pattern, I think I invented it. However, I most likely saw a design that sparked the idea of it somewhere.
It reminds me of pods of a plant of some sort. Very modern, it suits the wonkiness of these dogs.
The back is a weird pinkish fabric, that has noting to do with the front colors. Why I chose that I will never know. Crazy.
Not sure what the name will be, but it will reflect the three crazy idiots who own me!
